The small studio behind the glowing wood
Glowcapglade began with a single game, a merging puzzle we built for ourselves on long winter evenings. We kept adding woodland icons to the ladder until a fern could grow all the way to a moon-orb, and somewhere along the way the idea of a whole glade took root.
Today there are six games, each written in plain code by our own hands and drawn in the same soft, painted style. Bramble the frog wandered in early and refused to leave, so now he hops through Firefly Hop, peers out from Glade Pairs and keeps an eye on everyone’s best scores.
We are based in Britain and design for the way people actually play: in a spare five minutes on the bus, in a quiet hour after dinner, side by side on the sofa with a child. Every game loads instantly, adapts to a phone or a big monitor, and saves your progress on your own device.
Most of all, we care about fairness and calm. Points and stars come from skill, levels rise gently, and nothing pesters you between rounds. If you leave the glade feeling a little brighter than when you arrived, we have done our job.
Every point is earned
Scores, stars and personal bests come from what you do. Randomness only ever shapes a layout, like the next tile or a jigsaw’s starting scatter.
Calm by design
Soft sounds you can switch off, gentle difficulty curves and clean pages mean the games feel like a breath of fresh air rather than a demand on your attention.
